"Estonian Vertebrates" Web pages have been composed in order to be applicable in science lessons both in Estonian basic and secondary school. The presentation of information takes into account students’ different abilities and age. The database of "Estonian Vertebrates" provides students with the materials for writing reports, essays, research work and individual projects in extra-curriculum activities. The Web pages can be used in nature study lessons from the fourth to the seventh forms, in biology and environmental study from the seventh to the ninth forms of Estonian basic school. It is also applicable in secondary school - in biology from the tenth to the twelfth forms and in environmental study according to the new Estonian State Curriculum. Computerized educational tasks and supplementary students' printed worksheets enable either to learn the themes independently or to check one's knowledge. |

Computerized educational tasks composed on the basis of "Estonian Vertebrates" enable you to learn the particular groups of vertebrates independently and to check your knowledge.
Supplementary printed worksheets for students have been mainly composed by Estonian biology teachers during an in-service course "Computers in School Biology". The worksheets are applicable in computerized science lessons. More attention is paid to systematic learning than to memorizing facts in tasks. Students can work on worksheets independently learning certain parts of themes in the Curriculum.
